Move a contact to another company
Note
To access this function, your user must belong to a role with the functional right Can manage (move and merge) entities.
You can move a contact - including their activities and memberships - from one company to another, for example, if a contact was set up under the wrong company, or if they changed department. Alternatively, disconnect the contact from the company.
Steps
Do one of the following:
- In the Company screen: Go to the Contacts section tab, right-click the contact you want to move, select Manage contacts and Move contact.
- In the Contact screen: Go to the required contact, click the Task button in the contact card, and select Manage contacts and Move contact.
In the Move contact dialog under Action on contact, select one of the following options:
- Select Move to and choose the company you want to move the contact to. To do this, either click the arrow and select a company from the displayed list, or type the whole or the beginning of the name.
- Select Disconnect from <company>.
Select one of the following under Action on all existing activities and sales:
- Leave all on <company>: Select this option if you do not want to transfer the activities and sales along with the user, but keep them on the current company.
- Move all to...: Select this option to transfer all the activities and sales to the new company.
- Move all activities starting from: Select this option to transfer activities and sales starting after a specific date.
Note
To see the results before you confirm the action, click Show results .
Click Move. The contact is moved to (or disconnected from) the specified company.
Note
You cannot move contacts (SuperOffice users) in your own company.
